Section of Information Systems
In pedagogical activities, the staff of the department focus on teaching courses that form the theoretical basis belonging to the Cybernetics corpus, and on teaching courses that expand students' knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies applied in modern control systems. Great emphasis is placed on the safety/security of communication and information systems.
In the field of scientific research, the activities of the department's staff are focused on the following areas:
- Risk analysis, and quantification of safety/security of communication systems.
- Acquisition, transmission, and processing of large volumes of heterogeneous data in the context of intelligent buildings.
- Telematics support during extraordinary events in the traffic tunnel.
- Research on the localization of mobile objects in the IoT environment.
